About Caffe Vergnano Riserva Torino Nobile Coffee Beans - 1Kg

Why you'll love it Nobile is the gentler of the two Riserva Torino blends, and the bag says so: *smooth & balanced*, intensity 6 out of 10. Where Cremoso goes for weight, Nobile goes for elegance. It is lightly roasted in Italy using the family's traditional method, which is what lets the pastry-like side of the blend come through — cocoa, pastry, cereals and caramel rather than roast and bitterness. The blend brings together selected Central and South American Arabicas with an intensely chocolaty Asian Robusta, so there is still enough body underneath to build a proper crema. Details Blend: Central and South American Arabica with Asian Robusta Roast: light Intensity: 6/10 on Vergnano's own scale, printed on the pack Tasting notes: cocoa, pastry, cereals, caramel Format: whole coffee beans Net weight: 1 kg Roasted in Italy How to use A light roast rewards a slightly finer grind and a little patience. Pulled as an espresso it is aromatic and clean; in a moka pot or an automatic machine it keeps its sweetness; and it is one of the few espresso blends that also behaves in a pour-over. Storage Keep it sealed, cool and away from daylight, and use it within about a month of opening. Grin

Questions about Caffe Vergnano Riserva Torino Nobile Coffee Beans - 1Kg

How is Nobile different from Cremoso?

Nobile is the light roast at 6/10 — cocoa, pastry, cereals and caramel. Cremoso is 8/10, intense and full-bodied, with nuts, clove and liquorice.

Is a light roast still good for espresso?

Yes. It is built as an espresso blend; the light roast just means you taste the sweetness and aroma rather than the roasting. A slightly finer grind helps.

Is it 100% Arabica?

No. It combines Central and South American Arabicas with an Asian Robusta, which is what gives it body and crema underneath the sweetness.

Whole beans or ground?

Whole beans, 1 kg. Grind fresh for each brew.
